you're off to a good start. i don't believe that was a colt .45 model 1911, but i know gun pics are hard to find sometimes. anyhow, look up gunnery sgt. hathcock's history on the net. there are several books featuring his exploits. 93 confirmed kills, 300 probables, most likely one of the best snipers ever to take up a rifle. i don't believe he would be firing up a smoke in the middle of enemy territory...that could get you killed. good luck with the next installment.

Ok, not a bad effort

You could use some improvement on the research though. The C-47 Dakota transport you meant to portray looks something more akin to a B-17 or a B-29. The paratrooper's uniform is also inaccurate. Ya got the unit right anyway. Look up the 101st Airborne on the net for related material. Also see "Saving Private Ryan" and "Band of Brothers" if you want to capture the look of D-Day and WW2.
